When I knew Kevin Martin at Jefferson when I was in fifth grade I used to jokingly call him "Kevin from Heaven."  And he would say, "I went up when I was seven and came down when I was eleven."

Kevin and I both grew up on Pinewood Drive. I first met Kevin in a carpool of first grade kids going to Jefferson Elementary, which was a bit of a hike for us when we were so little. He had a sprightly, sparkling personality, and in high school he was one of the star performers in Julian Myers' theater productions. The world is a little bit grayer without him.
