Age 49, of Mt. Lebanon, died peacefully after a lengthy illness in the Masonic V., Sewickley, PA on Monday, March 6, 2006. Beloved father of Robert Driscoll of Burlington, NC and Christina Overcash of Chapel Hill, NC; grandfather of Malachi Douglas Overcash; brother of W. Daniel (Joan) Driscoll of Edgeworth, PA, Deanna L. Driscoll of Atlanta, GA, David A. (Wendy) Driscoll of Mt. Lebanon, PA and the late Darcy L. Driscoll; son of the late William E. and Marianne A. Driscoll. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA (Washington Rd.) on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 2 pm. Burial private. Arrangements by the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th St., Lawrenceville. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1975, Doug attended opticians school in Portland, OR. He then was employed as a salesman for Beitler McKee Optical Company. In 1980 Doug opened his own optical dispensary in Pittsburgh, PA called the Pittsburgh Optical Shoppe. His last place of employment was with McClements Optical Shop in Shadyside, PA. Douglas was an excellent softball pitcher and an avid dart player. He will be missed by all and remembered for his eternal smile.
Doug was a good friend of mine throughout school. Spent alotof time with him just hanging out at his home.He will be missed.
