MITRO JOHN M. "JACK"
Age 62, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully in his home on September 12, 2018. Beloved husband of 32 years to Margaret (Gallagher), devoted father of William (Stephanie) and Patrick Travis (Kierstin); proud grandfather of three grandpups (Hayden, Moose and Jax). Jack was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and received his diploma in nursing from Shadyside School of Nursing. After graduation, Jack started his career as the only male nurse at St. Clair Hospital. From there he served 22 years in the MICU at the VA Hospital before establishing Hero's Hall where he finished his career. Jack was an author of a children's book "CRACKITY JACK" . Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack's life at the VFW in Dormont, 3014 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Come raise a glass of cheer not a tear for Jack on Saturday 4-10 p.m. Arrangements by WILLIAM ECKELS FUNERAL HOME.
