Thank you Richard for notifying us and to all that are volunteering time to make it happen. I will help as I can from California, and more in person once I determine that I will for sure make it to the reunion.  Meanwhile, I hope we rely on other methods besides Classmates.com as I prefer not to be on that particular site. Thanks!

Great job to all who put this together!  Is it Molly\'s or Bado\'s after the game on Friday?

comment by Kevin Diixon

I was so sorry to have missed the reunion due to my orthopaedic woes. Every tidbit of informaiton and the pictures are great.. Looking at the Saint Bernard's picture I am reminded of the GREAT men and women Saint Bernard's produced back then. I don't know about today, but what a cast of high achievers that came from that class. Great job guys and girls from Saint Bernard's. We comemmorated the 20th anniversary of Martha Dixon's end of watch, from an ambush massacre that took place in the Washinton DC Police Headquarters November 22, 1994, on Friday, November 21, 2014, in a ceremony at Saint Patricks and the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. The generosity of the Class of 1974 and in particular the donation of the weekend at the Sirata Resort which led to the raffle revenue were discussed and appreciated by all the family members. The Martha Fund was mentioned with pride during a 90 minute ceremony honoring the Agents and Police who lost their lives that fateful day. The good work of the Fund perpetuates the memory of Martha Dixon, Lebo 77, but also maintains awareness and honors all the fallen. We will never forget. This week I will be giving thanks for being raised in Mount Lebanon, and having such a super  group of people to call my friends. Finally, if anyone is interested in the story behind that shooting, it can be found in a documentary online at the FBI Files.  Cut and Paste the following link:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT4Q-2XjYmo

Hi Classmates, I'm glad to see signs via Facebook that a new Reunion Committee is forming to prepare for our 50th in 2024.  Wow, where did the decades go?   It's doubtful I will be able to travel to participate but will watch for news online.  I'm enjoying life now in South Jordan UT, a suburb of Salt Lake City, but still think of Lebo and the Burgh as my roots. Regards to all!

comment by Jackie (Kent) Maryak

Hi everyone!I was a little "out there" at Mt. Lebo, but started to grow up around my 3rd year at UPJ.  I can\'t believe how fantastic everyone looks who\'s so far uploaded their pictures! I\'ve pretty much lived away from Pgh since leaving for school at UPJ in 1974; folks became snow birds to Florida not too long after; so that\'s where we pretty much have gone all these years to visit. I still have 1 sister and a niece in Pgh who I see a few times/year in FL - this reunion will give me a double reason to go back "home."  (I\'ve lived in Augusta, GA now for 26 years.)You wouldn\'t believe how many people I\'ve met here in Augusta who are not only from Pgh, but from Mt. Lebanon. In fact, I had a gal who worked for me a number of years ago who, believe it or not, grew up at the top of my street (Mayfair Drive), and at least 3 people I ran into who graduated Mt. Lebo HS with one of my sisters (Emily) in 1968!  It\'s a crazy, small world! So excited about reconnecting with everyone..and thank you so much Richard & Brian for doing a fabulous job kicking this off!Jackie (Kent) Maryak

I was so surprised to get a message from Brian on facebook!  Haven\'t had any contact with anyone from high school since moving back to Texas so it has been really nice to see some old faces.  Hope I can make the reunion in October!

comment by Ivy Childs

Does anyone know why this is a 36 year reunion?  I need an answer to give all the people who ask this.  Also, most folks are surprised that I would be excited to attend a high school reunion.  Never before like 74!

comment by Richard Schneider

Ivy,  It all started on or about January 20th when Glen Sawhill contacted about 8-10 of us to gather some stories and memories for a news article where Glen was requested to share some reflective thoughts with respect to Lebo’s football season, winning ways, championship games, coaches and lessons learned. From there we started talking about it being time for our next reunion. It had been 11 years since our 25th reunion and we felt it was time to get it going again. We just missed the 35th and did not want to wait another 4 years. We put some feelers out there and got a good response so here we are, besides, Never Before Like \'74 !!!

Hi everyone,I can’t believe that Mr. Hobaugh will be attending. If there is ever one teacher that has ever had an influence in a person’s life, I will have to hand it to him. If anyone remembers me, they will remember a kid that just didn’t fit in. Mr. Hobaugh found a way to help me and through math and algebra Mr. Hobaugh linked me to the very successes that I have enjoyed to this day. Thanks to you Mr. Hobaugh. I may not have always remembered what you have taught me as far as the textbook, but throughout life you have been an inspiration. Thanks to my math skills and the love of numbers, I own a 165-acre ranch in Spartansburg, PA and I am a part owner of a 102-acre ranch in Fairview, PA right outside of Erie, with seventeen horses. You can check it out at www.equestrianendeavors.netThanks again for helping me and being a special person in my life.I really wish I could make this wonderful event! Most Sincerely,Don Tucci

I was looking forward to the reunion for months and looking at this website practically every day, but when I finally got there, it was even better than I hoped.  I re-connected with lots of my old friends and I also had a great time meeting so many of my classmates for the very first time! Special thanks for getting looking up all those teachers - that was a fantastic idea. I asked you to invite Dale Cable but I didn\'t really imagine he would be there, and it was a completely unexpected treat to see Mrs Disney and Cecilia Fleckenstein. Never have so few done so much for so many. Thank you.

Hello friends, I'm still trying to get my head around 50 years…like many of you, Tom and I retired a few years ago and migrated south to NC. We are baby chasing, as two of our granddaughters are here. The other half of our family is in Massachusetts, which is where we will be in early June to welcome the latest addition! Sorry we will miss the fun. Have a wonderful time!

I am so sorry I will be missing this reunion (I also had to miss the 40th!)! We are doing a big trip abroad just a few days after the reunion, and we're planning to lay low for a week or 2 before we leave. 50 years! How can that be when I don't even feel like I'm 50 years old!! Hoping it's a glorious affair, and if happens to travel to my neck of the woods (near Asheville, NC), please let me know!! Hi. Just wanted to thank everyone for putting this all together. I remember getting a call out of the blue from Brian several years ago. Though we didn’t know each other in HS, we had a really nice conversation. I finally posted my classmate profile. I enjoyed reading what everyone has been up to. Hard to believe it’s been 50 years!!

Hello Classmates and Friends. This will be my first reunion and I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I was living out of Pittsburgh for 18 years and returned 4 years ago and had the fortune of seeing a few of our classmates for the first time since 1974. Needless to say it was a great experience and I am looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

Thank you, Richard and all for your efforts! I am looking forward to the weekend! How can it be our 50th?!!! ????it seems like yesterday....

It breaks my heart that I can't attend the reunion this year. They have meant so much to me in the past as my school years in Mt. Lebanon and the influence of Pittsburgh in general have strongly defined who I am. Alas, I am taking care of my severely ill husband and can barely get out with the dog, let alone travel. I remember so many of you like it was yesterday and if you remember me, then know I wish you the very best and a most wonderful reunion weekend. If you're ever in Santa Rosa, CA do let me know. Sending love, Ivy

Thank you, Ivy Childs Edelstein, I echo and feel the same way as you so eloquently stated. We grew up in the best of times and didn't even know it. We will post pictures of the reunion. Blessings and prayers to you and your husband. Richard

Looking forward to sharing a few cocktails with the many friends and cohorts. But most importantly I want to say thanks for the efforts of the committee and to those who have made this event possible. We have much to be thankful for. And I am very thankful for the many high school friendships I have enjoyed over these 50 years as they have been a blessing for me. ???? thanks all. Gregg

Richard and Team - thanks for all the hard work organizing the 50th. Regretfully, I’m not able to attend due to another conflict. My very best to everyone!

Thank you Richard Schneider for all your efforts to keep our class connected. I planned to attend our 50th but family health issues intervened. I expect this reunion will be a great success and hopefully I will be able to attend future events. Have a great time!
