We becamed acquainted during elementary school at Southminster Presbyterian Church Choir, where his father was choirmaster and taught us to sing in harmony.  I remember a wintertime retreat to his family's countryside farmhouse where the sky showed the most stars I ever saw and I imagine Jon now twinkles down from their midst.  I cannot read or hear the phrase "flaxen-haired" nor "limpid blue eyes" without picturing Jonathan to this day!  The last I had heard Jon had an active, outdoorsy life in the Rockies which seemed to fit him very well from when I knew him in his youth.  I wish his loved ones well and will remember him for years to come.
