Comment: Well life after high school threw me some curve balls, but I learned to cherish the most important things in life – your family, your friends, your faith in yourself and in God – and I stopped feeling sorry for myself & got on with it!  So I ended up cramming 4 years at Purdue into 7, then getting a Masters in Geophysics and going to explore for oil in Texas.  When the oil boom busted, I worked for 5 years at a NASA base in Maryland.   Then I got this crazy idea to get a PhD, so I moved out to San Diego to get a doctorate in Earth Sciences from UCSD, where I met my wife. I am now gainfully employed in a small R&D company, have a wonderful little family (wife, 15 YO daughter, pets, and a stepson who’s not doing so well though).   I feel very blessed.  San Diego is a wonderful place to live but Mt Lebanon is like the Shire to me …. It’s a special place to visit (my Dad’s still here) and I have nostalgic memories.





I look at all the kids from Lebo ’74 and how the vast majority turned out to be such a credit to society, what a testimony to the great atmosphere (family, community and educational) growing up in Mt. Lebanon.  It’s still one of the most outstanding schools in the state.  I am proud to have gone to Lebo and graduated in 1974!





I really hope that the reunion was fun & gratifying, & wish I could have been there.  Thanks Brian, Richard,  Marlynn and all who served on the Reunion Committee for putting this together!

Comment: Hi.  Thanks to everyone who made this possible.  Sorry I missed the reunion.  After Lebo, I left CMU to try my hand at the big time with my music.Then a slight stint in radio and a few years of drawing city posters.  Then I stumbled into teaching, which has suited me well for most of these years.  In Seattle, I still enjoy writing music & writing & illustrating kids' books--for fun.  All that, my wife, kids, dogs & my bicycle keep me busy.

Comment: Thanks so much to everyone working on the reunion! I've been in the D.C. area since coming here to go to Georgetown...can't believe it but I haven't been back to Mt. Lebanon since my family moved in January 1974!  Earned a couple of graduate degrees along the way, got married, and am still hard at work raising a family, with two kids in high school. I've had a fascinating career and am now working for the government - the FDIC - which keeps me very busy on top of everything else and has taken me to all parts of the world.  Oh, and that's my 14 year old daughter with me in the photo (taken this summer on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris).
